Jim, and his wife Betty, moved to Longmont in 1984 from Illinois. He worked at Varra Companies, Inc. in Erie, CO until 2000 when he retired. Jim was a WWII veteran (1943-45). Preceded in death by his brother, Robert Whitley and his daughter Londa Konieczny. He is survived by his wife of 72 years, Betty Whitley, his daughter Lugene Whitley, a grandson Ryan Konieczny, and a great-grandson, Mathew Konieczny.
A graveside inurnment for James will be held Monday, May 16, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Foothills Gardens of Memory, 14241 N 107th Street, Longmont, Colorado 80504. Following the graveside inurnment will be a celebration of life at 2:00 PM at 17th Avenue Place Event Center, 478 17th Avenue, Longmont, Colorado 80501.
