She was a 1961 graduate of Longmont High School and was the student body secretary and homecoming queen. She had many interesting careers, including working as a car hop, telephone representative, travel agent, cab driver, and working for the St. Vrain Valley School District as an elementary aide, library aide, attendance clerk, secretary, benefits coordinator and the driver’s education secretary.
Jan is survived by her husband, Jim, of 59 years, daughters, Kim (Pat) Machmuller and Kelly (Pat) Bond, grandchildren, Mitch (Miranda), Jake (Hailey), Ashley (Cody), Eric, Dillon (Kayla) and Morgan (Brandon), as well as five great-grandchildren. She is also survived by siblings, Tom Rickman, Deb (Kurt) Sheldon, Dann Coffey, Angie (Dick) Taylor, Shellie Rickman and Mark (Lisa) Rickman, sister-in law, Pat (Bob) Fickes, as well as many loved cousins, nieces and nephews.
