Born in California, Janice moved to Colorado as a young child and grew up in and around Longmont, where she spent most of her adult life. She relocated to the Phoenix area in the past year, and it was there that her precious life came to an end.
Janice was a bright light in this world—strikingly beautiful, full of joi de vivre, and deeply loved by those who knew her. She touched many lives with her warmth, humor, and adventurous spirit. She was always up for a good time, especially if it involved music, skateparks, or the company of friends. Her love of animals was unwavering, and she found joy in caring for her beloved dogs.
A licensed esthetician, Janice had a passion for skincare and makeup, tirelessly exploring new ways to express beauty. She lived abundantly, with a flair for fashion and a heart full of compassion. Her journey was not without struggle—she faced significant health challenges and battled addiction with courage and resilience.
Janice is survived by her father, Ralph “Rocky” Lane of Idaho; her brother, Eddie Murphy Bustos of Oregon; her sister, Catherine Covington of Nevada; her aunt, Roxann Murphy Bustos of Oregon; and her uncle, John Murphy of Colorado.
She was young and radiant, and she left us far too soon. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.
A celebration of life will be held at Ahlberg Funeral Home in Longmont, CO on Friday 11/21 at 11AM.
