Jason Scheuer entered into eternal life on Sunday, August 17, at the young age of 37. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Lauren, who was his unwavering partner and an abiding source of joy in his life. Jason was a devoted husband, son, son-in-law, brother, uncle, and a treasured friend to so many.
Jason grew up in Warsaw, Indiana, where he learned to love the outdoors and pursued competitive soccer. As a child, he was first exposed to downhill skiing in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan through family and church trips, becoming a self-taught expert and forming a lifelong passion for it. In high school, Jason captained his soccer team to the state semi-finals. He continued his love of the sport at Manchester University, where he played soccer and earned his bachelor’s degree in economics.
After graduation, Jason moved to Colorado, where he turned his passion for downhill skiing into an early career. He cherished his time as a ski instructor at Winter Park, where he taught hundreds of eager kids to ski and formed lifelong friendships along the way. Jason then pursued multiple career paths before finding his ultimate calling as a construction superintendent, which allowed his wild spirit to avoid a desk and combine his gift for mentoring people with his expertise in building.
Four years ago, Jason met the love of his life, Lauren. Together, they shared countless adventures, skiing nearly every slope within driving distance of Denver. They loved working together on their home, blessing others with their woodworking pieces, playing with their faithful dog Nora (whom Jason loved dearly), hiking the Rockies, and tailgating at CU football games. They were married on September 7, 2024. Jason’s joy and happiness had never been greater.
Jason is survived by his wife, Lauren; his parents, Paul and Susan Scheuer; his brother, Matthew, and sister-in-law, Sarah (Mullin) Scheuer, and their five children—Ronan, Brogan, Conlan, Kellan, and Callahan. He is also survived by his in-laws, Kirk and Lisa Tatusko; his sister-in-law, Megan; his best friends, Travis Klotz and Austin Evans; and a large extended family who loved him deeply.
Jason will be celebrated for his adventurous spirit, his gentle heart, his unwavering loyalty, and the joy he brought to all who knew him.
A Funeral for Jason will be held at 10:00 am Monday August 25, 2025 at Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church 5640 Jay Rd, Boulder, CO 80301. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery 520 Colliers Blvd, Erie, CO 80516.
