Jean O. McLain

Jean O. McLain of Longmont passed away June 25, 2012 at the Peaks Care Center. She was 84.She was born August 13, 1917 in Oak Park, IL to Gunnar O. and Gertrude H. (Reckling) Olson. On August 31, 1948 she married James L. McLain in Chicago, IL. She moved to Longmont in 1992 from Elmhurst, IL.Jean worked as a secretary for her husbands company Olson-Kehl. She was a member of the Chi Omega Sorority, the Moose Club, and was active at the Longmont Senior Center. Jean enjoyed creating stained glass and traveling.Jean was preceded in death by her husband James; and her parents.She is survived by her daughter Karen McMicken and her husband Richard of Bradenton, FL; and her extended family of Frank Rasmussen, Kirsten and David Gunderson, and Sue and Roger Quimby.A memorial service will be held 10:30am Friday June 29, 2012 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Private inurnment Longmont Mountain View Cemetery. Memorial contributions to the Longmont Senior Center in c/o Ahlberg Funeral chapel. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory.
