Jeannie Berry, age 90, of Longmont passed away May 19, 2023. Jeannie was born April 30, 1933 to Emma and Earnest Shapard. She was raised in Boulder and attended Sacred Heart School system. In 1952 she married James Berry, raising her family in Longmont, working for Neo-Data/Dunn and Bradstreet until early retirement at the age of 55.
Jeannie is preceded in death by her husband James Berry, parents Earnest and Emma Shapard and a great granddaughter Ashley Kinney. She is survived by daughters Linda Nail, Karen Betz (Bradley) and son Ronald Berry (Deborah), 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, siblings Paul Shapard, Sue Montgomery, James Shapard and multiple nieces and nephews.
For the past 30 years Jeannie has enjoyed a wonderful life, enjoying family gatherings and entertaining. She was adventurous and loved to travel with the Senior Center and many trips with her children.
Services will be held May 25 at 10:30 am at Howe Mortuary with a viewing May 24 from 5 until 7 pm. Burial will be on May 25 at Foothills Gardens of Memory at 12:00 noon. A reception to celebrate Jeannie’s life will be at the American Legion, 315 S. Bowen, Longmont, from 1 to 3 pm.
