

Jeff was born on July 30, 1956 in Longmont to Robert “Bob” Lucas and Carolyn (Snay) Lucas.
Raised in Longmont he graduated from Longmont High School in 1974, where he lettered in basketball and golf three years. He attended the University of Colorado on the Eisenhower-Evans Scholarship. He graduated with a degree in Mineral Land Management in 1978. For the past 34 years he worked in the oil and gas industry.
In his free time, he enjoyed watching his daughter compete in gymnastics and volleyball, and he was a fan of the Colorado Buffaloes, the Denver Broncos and the Houston Texans.
Preceding him in death are his father and grandparents.
Surviving are his wife Denise Lucas of Spring, Texas; a daughter Amanda (Ryan) Bracewell and grandson Jackson Bracewell of Kingwood, Texas, ; his mother Carolyn Lucas of Longmont; a brother Hardee Lucas of Longmont; and a sister Lola (Steve) Hamby and her children Ashley, Tyler and Nicholas of Longmont.
A cremation has been held.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday September 10 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. The family will hold a private inurnment at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
