

Jerry Edward Grove, born on September 23, 1942, in Alton, Illinois, passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 83. He was the oldest of five children, with two sisters and two brothers. Jerry was the beloved son of Wesley Edward Grove and Heroldean Marie Grove. He graduated from Longmont High School and went on to attend the University of Northern Colorado, where he was active as a wrestler and pole vaulter.
Jerry was known for being hard-working, generous, compassionate, patient, devoted, wise, and selfless. He excelled in his career as a welder and pipe fitter, earning the respect and admiration of his colleagues.
In 1981, Jerry married Patricia Ann Grove, with whom he shared a loving family. He was the father of Doug, Tony, and Tyler, and a devoted stepfather to Matt, Jason, and Scott. Jerry's dedication to his family was evident in his involvement in their lives and his presence at all of his grandchildren's sporting events.
His personal interests included hunting, fishing, working on cars and trucks, riding horses, and attending rodeos. Jerry was a Lifetime member of the NRA and a passionate fan of the Denver Broncos.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Edward Grove and Heroldean Marie Grove. He is survived by his wife, Patti Ann Grove, his children Douglas Edward Grove, Tony Herold Grove, Tyler Loyd Grove, Scott Ronald Ziebell, Matt Leland Ziebell, and Jason Kurtis Ziebell, as well as his sister, Lisa Pauley. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Spencer Anthony Grove, Lane R. Grove, Ty Grove, Mady Grove, Jack Ziebell, Dorthy Ziebell, Ella Ziebell, and Calvin Ziebell.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to New Creation Church in Jerry's name. Jerry Edward Grove will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
