

Jimmy loved life. He loved fishing, hunting and spending time with his friends, family, daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. More than anything, he loved his wife Jane. When Jimmy and Jane first met, Jane addressed him as Jimmy Tipps. They fell madly in love and wed on November 23, 1961, Thanksgiving Day, In Juarez, Mexico. Jimmy’s grandmother also wed there, learning of their secret romance after seeing their names on the registry. Together they had two amazing daughters, Cheri and Julie.
Jimmy and Jane lived in Gunbarrel, CO, where Jimmy worked at IBM for 25 years. They then moved to Crystal Lakes where he served as a Volunteer FireFighter for 14 years. He and Jane also started the Bear Aware Program. They then moved to New Mexico to live in the sun. Years later moving back to Berthoud, CO to be closer to their growing family.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents and beautiful wife Jane. He is survived by daughters Cheri (Tracy) Nissen, Julie (George) Sanger; brothers Mike (Karen), Steve (Pat); grandchildren Mitchell (Natalie) Nissen, Kyle (Nicole) Nissen, Denise (John) Davis and Jake Sanger; eleven great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service for Jimmy will be held Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Grace Place, 375 Meadowlark Dr, Berthoud, CO 80513, with a reception to follow.
