Joan was born July 19, 1946 in Marshall Town, Iowa the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Buddy Varner. She was married to George Beck, Sr. in Marshall Town, Iowa. They moved to Longmont in early 1971 and Joan became employed at Autotron.
She is survived by her sons Bud Beck and his wife Christine of Thornton, CO. and Geroge “Jay” Beck and his wife Terri of Longmont, CO. She is further survived by her brothers Dennis Varner of Des Moines, Iowa and Frank Varner of California and 2 grandchildren Kylee and Breanna.
Joan was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Cremation has been entrusted to Howe Mortuary and Cremation Services.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with David Bradshaw officiating.
