John B. Bookout

John B. Bookout, 82, died March 29, 2012 at Life Care Center, Longmont. John was born March 6, 1930 to John M. and Crystal (Scott) Bookout in Spring Grove, Indiana. After graduating from high school in 1948 he joined the Army Air Force. In 1949 he married Evelyn Uthoff in St. Louis, Missouri. After 20 years in the Air Force the family moved to Longmont, Colorado. John worked at the Fort St. Vrain Nuclear Plant as well as the F.A.A. He was a very active member of the V.F.W. serving as Commander of Post 2601 for two years as well as other offices both local and state. He was a member of the American Legion Post 32, former member of the Moose Lodge 1548. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, John Alan Bookout. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of 62 years, and two sons, David and Dennis. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.Committal service 2:15 PM Friday April 6, 2012 at Fort Logan National Cemetery , shelter C, Denver, CO. Cremation is entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory
