John’s family was among the founding families of the Hygiene area, with roots dating back to the late 1870s. He proudly continued that legacy, living his entire life on the family farm. Farming and agriculture ran deep in John’s blood; he was a fourth-generation farmer on the family land and took great pride in passing that heritage on to his daughters, the fifth generation to work the same farm.
John graduated from Longmont High School in 1986. On May 13th, 1989, he married the love of his life, Tanya Ray. Together they built a life centered on family, hard work, and tradition.
John was deeply involved in the agricultural community and served as President of the Palmerton Ditch for over 20 years. His leadership and dedication reflected his lifelong commitment to the land and to those who depended on it.
An avid outdoorsman, John loved hunting and taught his daughters the art and respect of the sport. Alongside his wife and daughters, he processed wild game for more than 30 years. His homemade sausage, pepperoni, summer sausage, and jerky were legendary and second to none. John also loved a good game of cards or poker and was always ready to stop what he was doing to “put a little extra money” in his pocket.
John is survived by his wife, Tanya Eisele of Hygiene; his daughters, Rebecca Gish (Nathan) of Fort Collins and Renee Eisele of Hygiene; his brother, David W. Eisele of Hygiene; and his sister, Mary Prall of Florida. He is also survived by nieces Amanda (Brad) Whipple and Tara (Adam) Cliff, and nephews Shane Eisele and Colton (Amity) Prall.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack W. Eisele and Norma Hankins.
Memorial contributions may be made in John’s honor to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
John’s legacy of family, farming, and friendship will live on through all who knew and loved him.
