John Edward Moore

John Edward Moore of Platteville, Colorado, cherished father, grandfather, brother, son and friend went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 16, 2013 after his courageous battle with emphysema at the age of 59. John was born on November 7, 1953 in Oxnard, California to Lyle Roger and Edra Joan (Wyatt) Moore where he grew up in Nyeland Acres. John graduated from Rio Mesa High School and attended Aims Community College. John married Jeanette Burgess on December 1, 1979 and they had two children, Aaron Moore of Lafayette, Colorado and John Henry Moore of Platteville, Colorado. John moved to the Longmont area of Colorado in 1990, working at Applied Films where he was a production foreman.John enjoyed fishing, hunting, photography and motorcycles and belonged to the Pro Bass Association. John is preceded in death by his mother Edra Joan Moore and brother Daniel MooreJohn is survived by his father, Lyle Moore, daughter Aaron Moore, son John Henry Moore, brothers Tom, Tim and David Moore, grandchildren Isaiah, Isaac, Iliana and John Edward Moore, Jr., and many nieces and nephews.Memorial service will be held 11:00am Thursday, Aug. 22 at Saint Theresa Catholic Church, Frederick, CO.
