

John Carl Spencer, 47, of Longmont, died September 4, 2014 at his home. He was born June 16, 1967 in Cheyenne, Wyoming, the son of Jack Wallace Spencer and Frances (Occhipinti) Spencer. On August 25, 1990 he married Lori Dee Baucke in Cheyenne, WY.
Following his graduation from Cheyenne East High School, he went on to earn an electronic engineering degree at DeVry University in Phoenix AZ and recently received certification from the Leeds School of Business at C.U.
John’s successful career was in the medical equipment field, as an electronic engineer. He was instrumental in the design and implementation of a patent for a mobile eye care unit.
John was a deeply giving man who loved his family and friends. He volunteered his time with the medical teams in Haiti following an earthquake in 2010. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, his enjoyment of riding motorcycles, being a Dallas Cowboys fan and for his excellent culinary skills. Surviving are his wife Lori Spencer of Longmont, his son Ryan Spencer and his fiancé Heather Cook of Longmont, his daughter Kaylee Spencer of Tempe, AZ and son Joey Spencer of Longmont, sister Deborah Lawson, brother Victor (Merrilynn) Spencer, and sister Kathy Kellner of Cheyenne Wyoming and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family and friends.
John was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 9, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Howe Mortuary Chapel. A Vigil services will be held at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, September 10, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Longmont. Reception will follow the services.
