John Roy Stromberg, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of family. Born on January 5, 1961, in Omaha, Nebraska, he was the son of Dale and Jill Stromberg and grew up alongside his siblings, Don, Jim and Diane. He attended North Platte Senior High School and Southeast Community College in Omaha.
On October 14, 1978, John married the love of his life, Robyn Schwieger. Together they built a life centered on love, family, and hard work, raising three sons: John, Justin, and Jordan. John and Robyn moved to Loveland, Colorado in 1986, and later settled in Longmont. A skilled toolmaker and machinist, he founded Stromberg’s Precision in the late 1990s before continuing his career with Otologics, Cochlear, and Tensentric, before retiring in 2023.
A devoted father and proud grandfather, John enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was an avid fan of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Kansas City Royals, and Kansas City Chiefs. He loved hiking, fishing, riding motorcycles, and camping—especially family trips to Lake McConaughy.
John will be remembered for his strong work ethic, generosity, and willingness to help others. John will join beloved wife, Robyn Stromberg, in heaven.
John is survived by his mother Jill Stromberg, father Dale Stromberg and step-mother Lillian Stromberg; his sons, John, Justin (Erin), and Jordan Stromberg; his grandchildren, Kristian, Decker, Keaton, and Robyn; his brothers, Don (Mary) and Jim (Monica) Stromberg; his sister, Diane (Blair) Hines; his in-laws Teresa & Ray Gibson; David & Valerie Schwieger, Cheryl & Randy Boltz, and Doug Schwieger; and many extended family members and friends.
