John was born on August 21st, 1956 in Jersey City, New Jersey to John and Joan Walsh. He graduated from Marist High School in Bayonne, New Jersey.
Jack retired from the United States Postal Service after 30 years.
Jack is survived by his daughter, Raven Walsh of Longmont, CO, stepmother Janet (Walsh) Tartaglia and her husband Paul of Brielle, New Jersey.
Sister Margaret (Clancy) Doyle and her husband Barnie of Chadwick Beach, NJ, brother Robert Walsh and his wife Gina of Fanwood, NJ, sister Joani Walsh and husband Shannan Friend of Nutley, NJ, stepbrother Michael Clancy of Edison, NJ, stepbrother Kenneth Clancy and his wife Emily of Keswick, VA, stepsister Caryn (Clancy) Chrissafis and her husband Pierre of Hamilton, NJ.
Jack is also survived by seven nieces and eleven nephews.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Ronald Walsh and a sister Leigh Walsh.
In July 2007, Jack was honored with a “Life Saving Award” by the Frederick-Firestone Fire District in Firestone, Colorado for saving a drowning boy at a neighborhood pool. Jack was there throwing a football with his 8 year old daughter Raven when the incident occurred. The article appeared in the Daily Times Call.
Jack loved all sports but his favorite teams were the Dallas Cowboys and the Colorado Rockies. He was a member of the Moose Fraternal Organization. He was always there to help a friend or anyone else who needed something and never hesitated to give the next person the shirt off his back. He loved life to the fullest and the one thing he was most proud of and loved more than life itself was his daughter Raven. He will be dearly missed and will never be forgotten.
