
Joseph Bernard Rademacher, Jr. of Longmont, died August 2, 2006 at his daughter?s residence. He was 88.Joe was born on October 2, 1917 in Snyder, Colorado to Joseph B. Rademacher, Sr. and Annie Burkey Rademacher. The family moved to the Mead area to farm in 1927.Joe married Henrietta Lucille Hull on March 26, 1940 in Mead.For many years Joe farmed in the Mead area and was also a dairyman. In the winters he would work on the sugar beet campaign with Great Western Sugar Company. He later worked with his son Chuck in construction after moving Longmont. He had also been a ditch rider. Mr. Rademacher was a member of the Guardian Angels Catholic Church, Mead before joining St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Longmont. He was formerly a member of the Liberty Grange, Knights of Columbus and Good Sam?s. He enjoyed gardening, woodworking and hunting.Preceding him in death were his wife, parents, 6 brothers Theodore, Clem, Albert, John, Leo, and Bernard Rademacher and two sisters Mary and Elizabeth Rademacher and a son in law Anthony Duzenack.Surviving are 4 sons George Rademacher and his wife Ginger of Bellvue, WA, Dave Rademacher and his wife Connie of Grant Pass, OR, Chuck Rademacher and his wife Barbara of Longmont and Gerard Rademacher and his wife Sarah of Longmont, three daughters Clara Duzenack of Thornton, Judy Fye and her husband Leland or Erie and Phyllis Layman and her husband Ralph of Aurora, 53 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday, August 7, 2006.Vigil services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, August 7 at the Howe Mortuary Chapel with Deacon Bill Lee as Leader. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, August 8 at St. John?s Catholic Church with Reverend Brian Morrow officiating.
