Joshua Alan Nelson Johnston

Joshua James Johnston, 28, (our special young man) passed away May 28, 2014 at Longmont United Hospital. He was born on August 29, 1985 to James E. Johnston, Jr and Kelly Sue (Jochem) Johnston in Longmont, Colorado. He received his GED, attended Emily Griffith in Denver and studied welding. He worked in many trades including construction, wood working and electronics and could fix just about anything. Josh was very artistic, creative and enjoyed music.

In 2013 he married Kelsey Evavold and a son Joshua Calvin Ellis Johnston will be born in July of 2014. He is survived by his wife, his son, his father James E. Johnston, Jr and step mother Gina Maldonado, his mother Kelly Sue (Jochem) Johnston and step father Antonio Orozco, grandparents Pastor James and Georgetta Johnston, Sr., and his sisters Chantele Johnston, Daniele Johnston, Jade Orozco and his brother Dominic Orozco. He is also survived by his in-laws, Greg Evavold and Danielle Shara. Josh was a very loving uncle to his nephews Johnathan Mata, Josiah Mata, Justin Taylor, Zachariah Sanchez and Noah Sanchez and his niece Julia Taylor. This was unexpected and he will be missed dearly.

Services will be held on Tuesday, June 3, at 11:00 a.m. at the Howe Mortuary Chapel, with Joshua's grandfather James E Johnston Sr. of the First Pentecostal Church presiding. There will be a potluck reception following the services.
