Joshua Kyle Schust

Joshua Kyle Schust passed away peacefully on February 24, 2018. He was born in Longmont on September 24, 1985 to Jeffrey Schust and Patricia Apple. Josh was born via C-section and the doctors handed the newborn to Jeff. He walked to the other end of the hospital with the precious little bundle while people in the hallways clapped. Jeff and Patty named him Kyle, but once his brothers Jeremy and Justin heard that, they insisted it be changed to a J name so Joshua Kyle Schust he became. Josh enjoyed childhood in Mead and Dacono. He had many friends and was a member of the Skyline High School Golf Team. He continued to golf as an adult and was quite good. He also enjoyed snowboarding. He was a very good cook and also liked to watch the Broncos and other sporting events.Josh earned a degree in GIS from Northern Colorado University in 2008. He loved aviation and returned to school to earn a degree in Airport Planning from Metro State University in 2011. He was able to blend both disciplines while working on airport projects and planning for Jacobs Engineering.He was a devoted father to his girls, Imogene and Juliette. As he recently said, I love those little girls more than anything. The feeling was mutual. They adored their Daddy who was always so loving and patient with them. He is survived by his daughters, Imogene and Juliette Schust and their mother, Danielle Phillips Schust, his father Jeffrey Schust, brothers Jeremiah Schust (Chris) and Justin Schust (Teniel Seifert) and Step-mother Sheree Stroud. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia Apple.A celebration of Josh's life will take place 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 2 at New Creation Church, 737 Bross St. Longmont, CO 80501.
