

She was born March 22, 1929, in Mound City, SD to Mae (Anderson) and Arthur Vojta where she was raised and worked hard on the family homesteaded farm. She attended high school in Java, SD where she met her husband Larry. They married on October 27, 1944.
Joyce and Larry moved to Colorado in 1955 settling into the Derby area for some time then to Arvada. Larry passed in 1975 and Joyce continue to live in their Arvada home for over 40 years. Joyce then moved to Longmont in 2008 to be closer to family. She enjoyed bowling in a League, dancing to Big Band music, playing the organ, fishing, cooking for her family and friends, and playing cards.
Preceding Joyce in death are her parents, her husband Lawrence, her son Kenneth Dwight and his wife Diana, her brothers Edo, Virgil, Jordan, Norman and Marshall, and her sister Violet Martin.
She is survived by her sons Gregory August (Angie Verburg) and Todd Lawrence (Susan Parks) and her daughters Rebecca Mae (Ken Auer), Debra Lynn and Constance Elizabeth (David Weiskopf). She is further survived by her grandchildren Nikkie, Wade, Chad, Tami, Mandy, Lauren and Ashley and her great-grandchildren Zachary, Sophie, Benjamin, Jade, Kinzie, Josie, and Hunter.
A Celebration of Life for Joyce will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 2pm at Howe Mortuary & Crematory located at 439 Coffman Street, Longmont, Colorado. A reception will follow the service.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
Services have been entrusted to Howe Mortuary of Longmont.
