

Juana was born September 1, 1941 in Saint Lucia, Jalisco, Mexico to Urbano Ruvalcaba Tejeda and Felipa Montoya Esparza. Her family moved to El Ocote, Aguascalientes, Mex. when she was one year of age. She is the fifth of seven children and youngest daughter. She attended Escuela Rural Federal Irineo Ruiz in El Ocote, until the age of 13. She was crowned Reina de las Fiestas Patrias when she was 14. In August 1957 soon after her marriage at the age of 15 to Juan Ruiz Salas, she moved to Mexicali Baja California Del Norte, Mex. there she worked on a cotton farm for six months. She then moved back to El Ocote, Aguascalientes. In 1980 She moved to Santa Maria, California. Where she worked in agriculture. There along with her husband she purchased her first home at 909 W Sunset St, then in 1988 she purchased her second home at 1813 N Barrington St.
In 1992 she moved back to El Ocote, taking her three youngest children with her. There again along with her husband built a home and owned a small grocery store called “Abarrotes La Esperanza”. This time she lived there for only three years then moved to Longmont, Colorado in April of 1995. She moved to Greeley CO in 2020. She enjoyed Spending time with her family. She liked to talk with family and friends, she always kept in touch with everyone. She liked watching Mexican telenovelas. She liked to crochet. She made really good mole and pozole. She always dressed very nice and had a great sense of style.
She is survived by her children; Esperanza Ruiz, Ricardo Ruiz, Martha Ontiveros, Lorena Olivas, Jaun Ruiz and Patricia Serrano, grandchildren; Osvaldo Diaz, Elizabeth Brill, Armando Ruiz, Raul Ruiz, Ivan Ruiz, Susana Ruiz, Jasmine Ontiveros, Tianna Ontiveros, Jessica A. Olivas, Vanessa M. Olivas, Fabiola Olivas, Jennifer E. Olivas and Dariel Ruiz, great grandchildren; Uziel P. Ruiz, Isahi M. Ortega, Emmanuel A. Garcia, Troy S. Herrera, Valkyrie E. Herrera, and Jazlinn Ruiz.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, Juan Ruiz, a son Martin Ruiz, a daughter Dora Ruiz, as well as some of her siblings.
A Funeral Service will be held 10:00am on Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Howe Mortuary in Longmont with Deacon Jose Rodriguez officiating. Burial will take place later in Aguascalientes, Mexico
