

Juanita Morales Putnam, 87, of Longmont, CO passed away March 25, 2015 at Green House Homes at Mirasol in Loveland. She was born on May 6, 1927 in LaSalle, CO to Stephen Morales and Maria De Jesus Perez.Juanita grew up in Ft. Lupton and graduated from Ft. Lupton High School in 1945. She later attended Denver Community College. She married Neil Putnam in July of 1972 and they moved to Longmont.Juanita worked for IBM in south Denver and later at the Longmont/Boulder Office until she retired in 1987. She was a Minority Affairs Advocate for the State of Colorado and a National Minority Spokeswoman, she traveled and trained all over the US. She loved to volunteer and helped out with AARP, the Longmont Police Department, Salud Clinic, OUR Center, Longmont Senior Center and the Women's Coalition.Juanita was preceded in death by her parents, husband Neil, brothers Rufus and Mario Morales and sister Hope Morales.Juanita is survived by her sons John Olmedo, Richard Olmedo (Marilyn) and Charles Fields (Faith), daughters Stephanie Olmedo, Deborah Fields-Munson (Brian) and Jenny Marie Mitchel (Shawn), brother Robert Morales, 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 11, 2015 at Lionscrest Manor in Lyons, CO.
