Julia Gonzales, of Ft. Lupton died February 24, 2011 at Longmont United Hospital. She was 79 years old.Julia was born on October 24, 1931 in Wheatland, Wyoming, the daughter of Juan and Martha (Garcia) Gonzales. She was formerly employed at Boulder County Enterprises and was currently attending the Retirement Program at Community Link. For many years, Julia found great joy and satisfaction in attending the Easter Seals Camp near Empire, Colorado. Julia was a wonderfully unique person who brought joy to the lives of many people. She will be dearly missed.She was preceded in death by her parents.Julia is survived by her sister, Virginia Atencio; her very dear friend, Mary Shiffer; and her many caregivers and friends at Community Link and Community Advantage. A memorial service will be held at 3PM on Friday, March 4, 2011 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Cremation at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to Easter Seals Camp and mailed to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
