

Julia was born on August 23, 1969 in Smithsville, Missouri to Lucille (Lair) and John Stacer. She grew in Davenport, Iowa and graduated from Muscatine High School. She attended Brigham Young University, eventually earning a Master’s Degree. She moved from Iowa to Brighton, Colorado in 1992 and was a Spanish Teacher at Brighton High School.
Julia was a member of the Saint Martin’s Chamber Choir in Denver, Colorado. She loved music and could play the guitar, piano, and saxophone. She was a beautiful soul that shined bright in this sometimes dark world. She was a loving partner, a mother, a daughter, a sister, and a friend. She will be dearly missed.
Julia was preceded in death by her father, John Stacer. She is survived by her life partner of 17 years, Joe Salazar, son, Ian Melady, daughter, Fiona Melady, mother, Lucille Lair Stacer, brothers, Clark Stacer and Dennis Stacer and by her sister, Glenna Sayles.
