

Kalliope Tsiakos Antone, ""Kalli"", died peacefully surrounded by her family and friends on Friday, January 16th. She was 90 years old, just one month shy of 91. Kalli was known as a very determined and independent person still living in her own home until her death. She was born in Nemea, Corinth a part of Greece and immigrated to the United States and marrying James Antone in 1951. She later became a United States citizen. Mrs. Antone was a very active member of the Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Boulder and the Greek Philoptochos Society, a ladies group in the church. Her energy, spirit and compassion will be greatly missed by her family and her many friends. Preceding her in death was her husband. Kalli was a very proud mother of two children that survive her: Helen Boorman and her husband Thomas ""Mike"" of Los Alamos, New Mexico and James C. ""Jim"" Antone and his wife Karen of Marlton, New Jersey. She is also survived by six grandchildren: Melissa, Jake and Brandon Antone and Mollie, Sallie, and Kelley Boorman. A visitation will be held at Howe Mortuary on Tuesday, January 20 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a Trisagion Service at 7:00. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, January 21 at St. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 5640 Jay Road in Boulder. Burial will follow the service at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
