Kalvin King Mueller

Kalvin K. Mueller, beloved husband, brother and friend, passed away on December 25, 2019 in Longmont, Colorado. Kal was born in 1954 in Blue Earth, Minnesota to Milton and Audrey Mueller, of Elmore, Minnesota.

Kal grew up and attended schools in Elmore, Minnesota and after graduating, attended the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Kal graduated in 1976 with a BSB in Accounting with High Distinction.

After graduation Kal moved to Denver and worked for various public accounting firms in the Denver-Boulder area. In 1978, Kal obtained his CPA license with the State of Colorado.

In March 1982 Kal was hired on as a Financial Director at Micro Motion, a mass flow meter manufacturing company where he was involved in many financing and operations management activities for the company before it sold to Emerson Electric in 1984. From 1984 to 2002, Kal offered business consulting and advisory services for small businesses relating to financial operations and organizational structure.

In 1989, Kal married Janine Baird of Boulder. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) early in their marriage, Kal used his strong faith in the Lord Jesus Christ to manage against the disease while providing inspiration in his marriage and to others. In 2007, Kal became a resident of Applewood Living Center in Longmont. Kal’s positive outlook, his faith, and his dry sense of humor continued to inspire and encourage the staff of Applewood, the residents, and all who knew him.

Kal is survived by his wife Janine Mueller of Erie, CO, and siblings Deb Darmer - Houston, TX; Patsy (Tim) Love - Kingwood, TX; Mark (Toby) Mueller - Franklin, TN; John (Jonna) Mueller - Mesa, AZ.

In addition, Kal is survived by nieces/nephews Nic (Katherine) Love: children James & Jack - Lafayette, LA; Lauren (Ben) Nowak: children Lincoln - Charlotte, NC; Ashley (Seth) Powell - Gainesville, GA; McKayela (Alex) Graves: children Jameson & Charlotte - Mesa, AZ; Madison Mueller - Arlington, VA; Alec Mueller - Mesa, AZ; and Garrison Mueller - Mesa, AZ.
