

Kathy was born on March 29, 1956 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Alvin Edward Kounovsky and Zella Marie Dalrymple Kounovsky. She later met a most interesting “Flyboy” from nearby Tinker Air Force Base, on May 21, 1977 Kathy married David Williamson in Midwest City, Oklahoma. They made their home in Longmont, Colorado.
When Kathy and David’s son, Nathan, was old enough to be in school all day, Kathy started work at Valleylab in Gunbarrel, Colorado, in the manufacture of healthcare technologies and equipment. She worked there through several mergers and acquisitions as Valleylab became Covidien, and more recently Medtronic.
Kathy loved the outdoors and the Rocky Mountains. A drive in the mountains, hiking, fishing, picnics, and camping with her family, brought great joy to her life. She was an active member of Inner Court Ministries/Christ Church International.
Kathy was preceded in death by her parents and a sister Sharon MeDaris Decker.
Surviving are her husband of Longmont; a son Nathan (Grace) Williamson; a sister Carol (Keith) Billings of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two brothers Keith Kounovsky and Paul Kounovsky both of Midwest City, Oklahoma; sisters in law Kathy Palmquist of Greeley, Colorado and Peg (Phil) Varoz of Center, Colorado; brother in laws William (Emily) Williamson of Cedaredge, Colorado and Mike (Ellen) Williamson of Loveland; mother in law Becky Williamson of Longmont; and several nieces and nephews.
A cremation has been entrusted to the Howe Mortuary and Crematory.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, at Inner Court Ministries, 527 Main St., Longmont.
