Kathleen Ann Powell

Kathleen passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 25, 2026. She was born in Denver, Colorado on September 27, 1953, to Henry and Wilma (Kreutzer) Smith.

In 1959 the family moved to Longmont, where she lived the rest of her life. She grew up in a loving home alongside her brother Ronald Smith.

Kathleen Powell attended Longmont High School until 1971. She married her late husband Warren Powell, whom she shared many years of memories. She built a meaningful career working as an executive secretary for MiniScribe and other companies over the years before retiring from Seagate. Outside of work, she enjoyed reading, crafts, coloring, and spending time with her border collies, Jack, Cutter, and Nicky.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Warren Powell.

Kathleen is survived by her stepson, Matthew Powell; brother, Ronald (Janette) Smith; nieces Audra (Alfred) Rael and Rebecca (Robert) Wedgeworth; a host of cousins, family and friends.

A celebration of life will be hosted a later date due to illness within the family.
