Kathryn (Kay) was born in Omaha, Nebraska, on August 31, 1939. Kay was a woman of immense kindness and deep family pride. Above all, Kay's greatest joy and source of fulfillment was her family.After high school, she attended nurses' training, working at Scripps Hospital in San Diego, California, and St. Joseph Hospital in Denver, Colorado. She finished her nursing career with Boulder Allergy and Asthma Clinic in Boulder, Colorado.
She was preceded in death by her parents, mother Josephine, stepmother Catherine, father Fred Gehrman, and brother Fred Gehrman Jr.
Survived by her husband Dick, sons Jim (Debbie) and David (Nicole), granddaughter Audrey, grandson Weston, and grandsons Christian and Andrew.The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Peaks Care Center and TRU Community Care.
Kay was entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel for cremation. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. A Mass for Kay will be held Wednesday February 26, 2025 at 10:30 AM at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church with a reception to follow. A Graveside will also be held the same day at 1:30 PM at Foothills Gardens of Memory.
