

Kenneth ""Kenny"" Hawkins of Platteville, formerly Longmont, died January 22, 2007 at his residence. He was 62.Mr. Hawkins was born November 9, 1944 in Denver to Clifford Hawkins and Myra Trevarton Hawkins. He grew up in Longmont attending Longmont schools.On January 16, 1965 he married Carol ?Carrie? Lesser in Longmont.A truck driver for many years, he worked for the Golden Companies before joining Bulk Transporters in Gilcrest, CO. for the past number of years.Mr. Hawkins had many pastimes and hobbies. He had worked as an auctioneer with his wife for the past number of years, owning and operating CK Auctions. He was an accomplished musician, playing a number of instruments and performing with his own group ?Pot Luck Band.? He for years had his own ?sprint car?, traveling around the United States racing on the sprint car circuit.Preceding him in death were his parents.Surviving are his wife of Platteville, a sister Ardie Amador of Sterling, numerous nephews, nieces, and great nieces and nephews and his in-laws LeRoy and Dorothy Lesser of Longmont.No services are scheduled at this time.Please share your thoughts, memories and condolences with the family at www.howemortuary.com
