She was born June 19, 1973 in Greeley, Colorado. Her parents Rudy and Char Carbajal raised her and her sister Shawn on the Western Slope for many years until finally settling down in Arvada, Colorado in 1985.
In the early 90’s Laura became a proud mother of two beautiful children, the first being her son Rudy aka Peanut followed by her daughter Toni aka Sugar Bear. Becoming a Mom truly was Laura’s proudest and happiest moments in her life. Her love for her Peanut and Sugar Bear is unmeasurable.
Laura later met her soul mate Brent Erps, they were happily married on June 12, 2018. They radiated love towards one another, and everyone could see Laura’s soul light up when they were together. Unfortunately, soon after they married Brent was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, he fought fearlessly to stay as long as he could to be with his wife Laura. Brent’s battle ended November 7th, 2020, losing him was unbearable for her.
Family and friends were extremely important to Laura. She always had a funny story about her work family at Q3 and NPL, she was close with them, and made her job not feel like a job. She will forever be remembered for her quick wit, sarcasm, infectious laugh, dimply smile, love for Brent, Rudy, Toni, Bianca, huge family, and friends.
Laura Elisa Erps leaves behind a huge family, this includes her parents Rudy and Char Carbajal, son Rudy and his wife Sharie and their daughters Anastasia and Dasia, daughter Toni and her husband Chris, sister Shawn and husband Jose, Grandmother Esther Gallegos, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, uncles, aunts, and her friends.
