

Laura was born on March 2, 1922 to Ignas Gudell and Anele Paskevicius in Rochester, New York. She was one of five daughters born to Ignas and Anele. She grew up in Rochester and graduated from Benjamin Franklin High School. In 1947, Laura married the love of her life, Edwin Randolph, in Rochester. They were happily married for more than 75 years. Together, Edwin and Laura welcomed three children into their lives, Kathy, Tim, and Gayle.
Laura was a devout woman of the Catholic faith and regularly attended Mass at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lafayette, Colorado. She spent much of her life as a homemaker, raising her children and caring for her family, though she did work as a switchboard operator, as well. She celebrated her Lithuanian culture and language. Laura enjoyed sewing, knitting, cooking, and reading. She was loved, and she will be missed.
Laura was preceded in death by her parents, Ignas and Anele, and her sisters, Kay, Nellie, Della, and Mary. She is survived by her loving husband, Edwin C. Randolph, children, Kathy (Scott) Tompkins, Tim (Mary) Randolph, and Gayle (Doug) Rose, grandchildren, Leah Urynowicz, Ross Tompkins, Jeremiah (Kristy) Randolph, Zachary (Gemini) Randolph, Bobby (Alycia) Rose, and Nicole (Penni) Rose, and by her great-grandchildren, Lance & Reagan Urynowicz, Evelyn, Jayden & Legend Randolph, and Dellah Rose.
A Memorial Mass was held for Laura on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lafayette. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in her name to the V.F.W., St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, or a local hospice.
