Lawrence Howard Sikes

Lawrence H. Sikes (95), passed away peacefully in the arms of Jesus on February 19, 2017. He was born April 20, 1921 in Twin Falls, Idaho to Ralph and Anna (Casey) Sikes. Lawrence married Catherine (Winder) on November 18, 1940 in Longmont.Lawrence is survived by his wife Catherine, three children and their spouses, Ruth Ann (Max) Hastings, Sharon (Ron) Pinard, Murney Lee Sikes and Ann Caroleton, his special adopted sister. Four grandchildren, Shelly Jo (Dale) Crider, Deatra Lynn (Russ) Hamilton, Kristina Kaye (David) Platt and Vincient Sikes. Seven great-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. One nephew Keith (Debbie) Sikes Lawrence worked for approximately 50 years as a heavy equipment operator, completing his career with Pendleton Construction Co. Lawrence was a friend to all he met and professed his strong Christian faith stating: Remember, eternity is for a long, long time. Think where you'll spend forever.Funeral services are being completed through Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Family and friends whose lives have been touched by this gentle spirit are invited to the viewing to be held on Friday, February 24, at Ahlberg's from 4:30 to 6:30 PM. Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 25, 2017, at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Longmont Mt.
