LeRoy was born in Springdale, AR, on October 24, 1951, and grew up in Golden, CO, graduating from Golden Senior High School in 1969. His parents were Virgil (deceased) and Dorothy. He is also survived by his sister Carol (Pete), brother Dale (Sheila), son Troy, and daughter Bridget (Sean); four grandchildren, a niece, two nephews, and other extended family. He was in the U.S. Air Force, where he worked in munitions maintenance and supplies, and was a Viet Nam vet. After leaving the Air Force in 1975, he trained to be an automotive parts counterman, and worked for various car dealerships in the Boulder/Longmont area. His hobbies and passions were gardening, woodworking, golfing, classic cars and trains, and spending time with his four grandchildren (Zachary, 16; Jordyn, 13; Tiffany, 12; and Carter, 6). He enjoyed driving through the mountains and was always ready to pull your leg! He could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere; and rarely was he in a conversation that did not involve laughter. LeRoy will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
