Linda was born in Boulder, Colorado to George and Laura (McGowen) Allen and was a 4th generation Boulder native whose great grandparents where pioneers in the area.
She attended Boulder High School before graduating as the first class of Fairview High School in 1961.
Linda worked as an Accounting Supervisor for multiple energy companies including Anadarko and Western, before retiring from Encana in 2015. She loved to shop and dress up, going out to eat with her various clubs including her book clubs and the red hat club. She was the proverbial cat lady and loved the many kitty companions she had throughout her life.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday March 7, 2025 at Mountain View Memorial Park in Boulder. Memorial contributions in Linda’s name can be made to the Boulder Humane Society.
