Linda Susan Heaps

Linda Susan (Kruise) Heaps of Erie, died September 16, 2009 at Longmont United Hospital. She was 54.Linda was born on January 2, 1955 in Boston, Massachusetts to Loyd Kruise and Irene Clark Kruise. She moved to Colorado before her first birthday, living in the local area. Linda graduated from Lyons High School in 1973, where she participated in the school choir. She later married Scott Heaps on August 22, 1998 in Hamilton, Montana. An excellent gardener, her green thumb took over the family's residence. She would develop an oasis at her homes, totally recreating the property to a beautiful landscape of plants, flower, trees, shrubs and even fish. She was also a collector of bells, teapots, hummingbirds and most importantly friends wherever she went.Preceding her in death is her father, Loyd Forest Kruise.Surviving Linda are her husband Scott of Erie; mother Irene Kruise of Erie; 3 children Brandi (Scott) Miller of Loveland, Michael DeMott of Loveland and Jesse Heaps of Erie; sisters Pam (Court) Tuck of Erie, Carole (Richard) Korbe of Erie; a brother Mike (Vicki) Kruise of Longmont; and four grandchildren Shelby, Brennen, Morgan, and Miya Miller of Loveland and many nieces and nephews.A cremation has been entrusted to the Howe Mortuary and Crematory.Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at the Faith Community Lutheran Church with Pastor Dan Hansen officiating.
