
Linda Rose Parker went home to her Heavenly Father on her 76th birthday after an 8-month battle with cancer. She was at her home in Longmont, CO with her husband of 51 years by her side when she passed. Linda was born March 21, 1944 in Chadron, Nebraska to H. Claywell Claussen and Nellie (Raymer) Claussen. She grew up in Chadron, NE and attended Chadron Prep until her senior year and graduated from Chadron High School in 1962. After graduation she attended beauty school in Scottsbluff, NE. Linda met her husband Al in Chadron, N, and they were married on June 2, 1968 in Chadron. She worked as a beautician until her first son was born and became a stay at home mother. The family moved from Scottsbluff, NE to Longmont, CO in 1982. After raising her two boys, Linda worked for Daily Office Supply for several years until she retired. A faithful Lutheran, she attended Faith Community Lutheran Church since 1982. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clay and Nellie Claussen. She is survived by her husband Alvin Parker, three sisters, Ruth Williamson of Stillwater, OK, Dixie and her husband Gary Blundell of Chadron, NE, Vicki and her husband Gus Ecke of Cheyenne, WY; two sons, Randy and his wife Lyn Parker, and Ken Parker all of Longmont; 13 loving grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to Faith Community Lutheran Church in Longmont.
