Lloyd Alan McKenzie

Lloyd was born on January 14, 1963 in Missouri to Walter and Betty (Rice) McKenzie. He went to school in Sturgeon, Missouri from Kindergarten until High School graduation where he was the valedictorian. He then went on to the University of Missouri in Columbia where he received two bachelors degrees in both Electrical and Computer Engineering and minored in Math.

In 1987 Lloyd married Patricia Brosnan after meeting six years prior, together they lived in Columbia until moving to Longmont in 1997. In Columbia Lloyd was a computer technician for the city of Columbia, Missouri where he developed finance software and set up their finance department LAN system. After moving to Colorado he worked as a cable technician.

Lloyd belonged to The Journey Church in Longmont. He enjoyed challenging puzzles and Rubik’s cubes (although they weren’t much of a challenge), but he enjoyed the different ones. He enjoyed science fiction and was a “Treke” from the first Star Trek he watched. The listened to the music of the 60’s with the Beatles being his favorite.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his daughter Amanda Jean McKenzie and his parents Walter and Betty.

He is survived by his wife Patricia; his sons Mark, Neil and James McKenzie; his bothers Carl Ray, Larry, Ralph and Clifford McKenzie; his sister Margaret Smith and his sisters-in-law Betty Lou, Sandy and Charlene McKenzie.
