Lorenza Carl Martin

Lorenza Carl ""Bud"" Martin, of Longmont, Colorado, died Friday, August 14, 2009 at Applewood Living Center. He was 89 years old.Mr. Martin was born November 28, 1919 in Scalplevel, PA, the son of Lorenzo and Matilda Martin. On February 22, 1947, Bud married Gladys Johnson in Niwot, Colorado. The couple made their home in Longmont. Bud was a veteran who served in WWII as part of the U.S. Army.His parents and sister, Peg Hirsch as well as his loving wife, Gladys Martin who passed away last September, preceded him in death. Survivors include his children; Lee (Kari) Martin of Colorado Springs, Nancy (Arcy) Sandoval of Longmont and Alan (Ann) Martin of Denver; brother Don (Dolores) of Bar Harbor, Maine; sister Mary Louise (Bill) Dennehy of Annapolis, Maryland; three grandchildren, Kim (Joe) Gray, David Martin and Ilana Martin; three great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. A visitation will be held for family and friends on Tuesday, August 18, 2009 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Howe Mortuary in Longmont. A graveside service will be held at Foothills Gardens of Memory located at the intersection of Highway 287 and County Road 4 just north of Longmont on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at 11:00 A.M.
