

Lucille Christine Schempp Wollman, 92, of Longmont, died June 19, 2018. Lucille was born on November 3, 1925 in Menno, SD, daughter of Christian Jacob Schempp and Lydia (Koerner)Schempp. On December 8th, 1946 she married Harold Edgar Wollman. Lucille grew up on a farm and attended school in Menno until she was 17. After, she married Harold, they began their family and lived in Menno SD.
In 1967, she started The House of Fabrics in Menno and moved the
business to Longmont, CO in 1972. She later sold that business and
started The Drapery Studio in 1978, where she was an interior designer for
the rest of her days! She loved to work with fabric and colors, guiding her customers with their indivdual designs, this work was her pride and joy!
Lucille was a member of Zonta International, Dorcas Circle at Atonement
Lutheran Church in Boulder, CO, and the President of Deborah Circle at
Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Longmont. She enjoyed bowling, playing
cards, and family get-togethers. She especially enjoyed traveling to Europe with her husband. She also was a renowned baker whose specialty
included caramel rolls and Swedish tea rings. Lucille was always willing to help whoever needed assistance. She had a warm and caring heart, that
touched so many lives.
Lucille is survived by her husband Harold Wollman of Longmont, CO and
three children, Mari-Antoine (Moses) Key of Summerville, SC, Dan Charles
Wollman (Krisi) of Estes Park, CO, and Cindy Wollman Holloway of
Lafayette, CO and by grandchildren Christine Holloway (Cindy) of New
York City, NY; and Jonathan Holloway (Cindy) of Lafayette Colorado. She
is also survived by her three step grandchildren, Sean Everson,
Valencia, PA, Scott Everson of San Francisco, CA and Seth Everson of
Lakewood, CO.
Preceding her in death were her parents, sister and brothers.
Funeral services celebrating Lucille’s life will be held at 10 am, Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church with Pastor Mark Peterson officiating.
The family will receive visitors following the funeral service for a luncheon in the church fellowship area. Columbarium Service will follow the reception at the church.
