Luke Adams was born in California, but grew up around the world as part of an “Air Force” family. He had “best friends,” besides his brothers, in England, Arizona, Virginia and Alaska. Luke attended Ben Eielson High School in Alaska for two years then graduated from Colorado Springs Christian Schools in 2001. He participated in track and soccer running a leg of the 4x100 in the Alaska state meet with his brothers and a friend and he received the “Coaches Award” for inspirational leadership to his soccer team during his senior year. He also played alto saxophone in concert, pep, and jazz bands. After completing General Education courses at the University of Northern Colorado, Luke graduated with an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Aims Community College in Greeley, CO. Luke married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Heather, in 2002 and they raised two lovely daughters, Rachel and Abigail, and son, Hunter, his “right-hand” man. He cherished fishing with his children and camping with extended family and friends. He found his niche working for the IT department of TRU Community Care, but his ability, dedication, leadership and work ethic led to his becoming Director of Technology and Facilities Manager for TRU. Computers and technology were Luke’s joy and he was always available for “tech support.” Luke found fulfillment participating in events at church and school with his family and the family has treasured support received from them. He taught sax to Rachel, Hunter and their classmate and was their number one supporter in all his children’s activities. Preceded in death by his brother, Joshua (Heidi) and an aunt, Janice, he is survived by his wife Heather; daughters, Rachel and Abigail; his son Hunter; mother and father, Pamela and Scott Adams; his brother Kyle (Melissa); Heather’s parents, David and Sue Johnson; Heather’s sisters, Sarah (Ben Cline) and Michelle (Patrick Boyd) and brother Luke (Dana); paternal grandparents and a host of aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends. A public memorial service and private family internment are planned for a later date.
