

Madeline Lani Lorraine Labor Butler, 75, of Longmont, Colorado, passed away at home on Tuesday, February 10th. Madeline was born on August 24, 1950 in Long Beach, CA to Phillip and Angeline Labor. She was raised in southern California as the third of seven siblings and married Gary Butler on August 12, 1972. She worked in the medical billing field for decades while raising her two boys. Madeline was dedicated to family, both relatives and chosen, and over the years had many long term houseguests and memorable parties. She had an amazing laugh, brought being a Virgo to a new level, and was an avid crafter who enjoyed cross-stitch, crochet, and quilting.
She is survived by her husband Gary Butler Sr.; two sons, Gary Butler Jr and Jonathan Butler, their spouses Denise and Jae; her local family, Brent and Shannon Lovell and their children Steven (and spouse Miranda), Jasmine, Sam, and Jordan; her siblings Phillip Labor Jr, Marta Schaper, and Marissa Walker; as well as countless friends and relatives who called her Auntie. She was preceded in death by her children Jennifer Ann Butler and Michael Lawrence Butler, as well as her siblings Margaret Niedringhaus, Vincent Labor, and Peter Labor. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Colorado-based OUR Center or Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep. A service will be held on Saturday February 28th at Howe Mortuary in Longmont, Colorado at 10:30 am.
