Margaret Jane Mercer, 74, of Lyons, CO passed away on January 22, 2020, in Lyons.She was born on March 25, 1945, to Alvin and Ardis (Debban) Vantine, in Elwood, Nebraska. Margaret moved to the Longmont area in 1953, from Elwood. She attended Lyons High School. In 1964 Margaret married Donald Mercer in Glenwood Springs, CO. She was a cosmetologist, and retired in 2010. Margaret enjoyed reading, flowers, bird watching, and shopping.Margaret is preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Lola Boone and Barbra Webster.Margaret is survived by her husband Donald Mercer, a daughter Audra Veik, and a brother James Vantine, two grandchildren Lacey King and Justin Veik, and four Great-grandchildren, Peyton Veik, Caleb Veik , Evelyn King, and Otis King.A celebration of life will happen at a later date.Memorial Contributions be made to the American Heart Association, and Tru Hospice.
