Maria De La Luz Sanchez

Maria De La Luz Sanchez, 64 of Dacono, passed away May 7, 2019 at Longmont United Hospital with her family by her side.Maria was born January 13, 1955 in Durango, Mexico to Prisiliano Ortiz Felix and Catalina Reyes Valdez. She grew up in El Presidio Canatlan, Durango Mexico and moved to Golden, Colorado in April of 1993.On July 19, 1993 Maria married Cloroveo Sanchez in Fort Lupton, CO. She was a devout Catholic throughout her life and enjoyed crocheting, sewing and spending time with her family. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Vincente Aldaba, and two siblings, Antonia and Dionicio Ortiz Reyes.Maria is survived by her loving husband, Cloroveo Sanchez, her children; Maria (Valentin Zamora) Aldaba of Dacono, Juan (Beatrice Rodriguez) Aldaba of Thornton and Luis (Kristin Weinberger) Aldaba of Longmont, eight grandchildren; Alexander and Ashley Zamora, Itzel Rodriguez, John, William, Yaritzy, Alexis and Samantha Aldaba and one grandchild, Maya, on the way, as well as seven siblings; Maria de Jesus, Refugio, Gregoria, Martin, Maria del Socorro, Maria del Rosario and Teresa Ortiz Reyes.Visitation will be held at 5:00 p.m. with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 14 at Ahlberg Funeral Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 15 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church. Interment to follow at Longmont Mountain View Cemetery.
