One of her proudest achievements was her volunteer work at Longmont United Hospital. She devoted 14 years and almost 14, 000 hours arriving by 5:30 a.m. and working 8-10 hours three to four days a week. She loved the doctors and nurses and all the people she met along her journey.
She felt special when she was asked to throw out the 1st shovel of dirt for the ground breaking of the New Day Surgery wing in 1984.
