Marie I. Worthington

Marie I. Worthington, born July 12, 1929, was a bubbling brook of vibrant, nurturing water that flowed through the lush streambed of life. We were the blades of grass immersed in her loving current, buoyed by her supportive touch and optimistic joy: her husband Joe of 59 years; her children Nancy, Jim, and John; her grandchildren Tim, Jennifer and Geoff; Amy and Jake; Johanna, Rick, and Rob; her great grandchildren Hannah and Ella; Violet and Rose; Maureen, Jeremy and Jaxtyn; as well as numerous in-laws, nephews, nieces and cousins.

Her coursing waves reflected the sparkling light of the Son, her Savior, Whom she worshipped and adored with every fiber of her being. She was also an effusive brook, who loved to talk, sing, joke, tell stories, and speak of her gratitude to her Heavenly Father for the ways He always took good care of her, as well as those she loved.

She touched countless blades of grass throughout her life: friends, family and acquaintances; people whom she loved and who loved her.

On March 22, 2022, she flowed into the Loving Arms of her Beloved Savior, Whom she was eager to see face-to-face. We do not mourn her. We celebrate her.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at the YMCA of the Rockies on June 28, 2022.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Nancy Tyler, who will forward them to Cinnamon Park Assisted Living and Deaf Child Hope International.
