Mario Latini

Pastor Mario Latini of Longmont, Colorado, passed on to his eternal reward Feb. 26, 2019, at the age of 60.Mario was born in Pomona, California, to Ennio and Marie (Antonucci) Latini on Feb. 20, 1959. They later moved to Bethpage, New York, where he graduated from Plainedge High School in 1977. In 1980, Mario moved to Longmont, Colorado, where he began attending what is now New Creation Church. It was in the Young Adult Choir that he met his future wife and the love of his life, Stacy Geminden. The couple married in 1985, and moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to attend Rhema Bible Training Center. After graduating, they returned to New Creation Church to serve as youth pastors for the next eight years. In 1994, they moved to Athens, Greece with their children Ryan and Christen, to establish a DOMATA Bible School in conjunction with what is now World Outreach Church in Tulsa. Upon returning to Longmont in 2002, Mario became senior pastor at New Creation Church where he served faithfully until his death. During his tenure, he supervised the expansion of the church building with the Imagine Project, established events that brought the community and the church together, travelled back to Greece and other nations to share the Gospel and train church leaders, and developed a legacy of love and ministry his family is honored to perpetuate. Mario is preceded in death by his mother, Marie.Mario is survived by his father, Ennio (Marsha) Latini and brother Daniel Latini of Bethpage, New York; his beloved wife of 33 years, Stacy; their son, Ryan (Jen) Latini and granddaughter, Cora, of Seattle, WA; and their daughter Christen (Jonathan) Cyprowski of Longmont; and is forever loved by his many cousins, in-laws, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 2, at New Creation Church, 737 Bross Street, Longmont, CO 80501. Cremation has been entrusted to Ahlberg Funeral Chapel.
