Marjorie Ann Sater
April 25, 1951 – October 3, 2020
Marjorie “Marj” Ann Sater, Mother, Daughter, Grandmother and Sister departed this earthly life and joined the Lord on Saturday, October 3, 2020. She will be missed by many, but none more than her children, Alaina and Paul; her grandchildren, Jaden, Lily, Cameron, and Laila; as well as her mother, Lorraine.
Marj was born April 25, 1951 to Alfred and Lorraine (Embree) Sater. She was a proud fourth generation Coloradan who grew up on a family dairy farm east of Longmont. As the eldest, she took on the role of protector to three younger siblings. From a young age, life on the farm entailed teamwork and responsibility, both of which Marj applied throughout her life.
Marj started formally working at the age of 16 and never stopped. In 1989, she co-founded Front Range Mercantile and Flea Market in Longmont and remained in that role until her passing. Even as her illness progressed, she never gave up hope of getting back to work with her business partner, Vicky.
Marj was an incredible Mother and Grandmother. She adored her children and grandchildren and could always be found at their activities. She hosted countless family gatherings and enjoyed seeing her loved ones together. In her free time, she was an avid gardener who enjoyed tending to her flowers and yard. Additional survivors include her brother, Paul (Cindy) Sater and sister, Rashelle (Jeff) Richardson, as well as many nieces and nephews, friends, and extended family. Marj was preceded in death by her father, Alfred and brother, Tim.
To honor Marj’s wishes, private family interment will take place at Hillside Cemetery in Fort Lupton, Colorado. In lieu of flowers, Marj would prefer to be honored by a memorial contribution to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Shriners Children’s Hospital.

Marge was a beloved customer of the Longmont Hover Branch of Independent Financial. As a longtime friend and local business owner she was a shining example of a true Colorado front range resident. Marge was strong, independent, funny, honest women who knew the local history and always had an interesting bit of information to share with our team.
The staff here a 1050 South Hover will miss you and will make a donation to the Children’s Hospital in your honor.

Alaina, Paul, and Lorraine,
You've all been in our continued thoughts and prayers. I'm soo sorry for your loss. Your mom was always so nice and kind! The things I remember most are when she picked you up after church, and her long beautiful hair, and fun jewelry! Although it's been a long time since we moved away, I haven't forgotten you guys and all the fun times. May you find comfort in knowing your mom is with our heavenly father and is having a joyous reunion with her dad and other loved ones.
Sending you my love across the miles,
Heather Townsend and Family

Alaina, Paul and Vicky,
I am so saddened by Marj's death. She was such an incredible woman! One of the kindest people, to this day, I have ever known, she was a huge support to me as I raised my kids (as I hope I was to her as she raised you, Alaina and Paul). Of course, when I was still selling Mary Kay, she was one of my best customers, even though she never needed make-up. She was so beautiful (inside and out). I remember her bemoaning her hair starting to turn gray, but it was so gorgeous! She was so proud of you kids and her grandkids. She would always pull out the most recent pictures when I would stop in at the store and was so proud to show them to me.
You all made her very proud - every day, no matter what. You were very much loved.
