Mark was a good brother-in-law and friend. He could be witty and funny. He loved his children and grandchildren. Well be missed. Rest in peace.

Mark had some health issues the last few years but was still funny in his own way. Could always come up with something about the Broncos. Would rib each other about K. C. Chiefs and Denver Broncos. Think this year he is going to win. He loved his three children Cameron, Bryan and Ashley and his 9 grandchildren. Mark and Bryan lived together. Bryan was there to care for his dad. The good Lord seen Mark was getting tired and called him home. Rest in peace.

Even though Mark and Belinda divorced years ago, in my heart I never stopped thinking of him as my Uncle Mark. I thought about him often these past few years, and every time we happened to be in his neighborhood I looked around for him, hoping to catch a glimpse of him taking a walk or just sitting outside his apartment getting a breath of fresh air. We didn't get together very often, but when we did we always had a nice time chatting and catching up on each other's lives. 

Reading through the other memories here, I see the shoe store coming up a lot. Uncle Mark really did let us kids have some fun there! My favorite shoe store memory was learning how to dye the wedding shoes. I thought that was the neatest thing in the world and I was so happy he taught me how to do that. 

Uncle Mark, you will be missed. I'll never forget your ornery laugh, your love of the Kansas City Chiefs, or your cool dance moves. Rest in peace. I love you.

Mark was a great brother-in-law. He was always kind and caring to everyone. He was consistently ready to help others and did so with a smile on his face.

One thing I remember about him was that he had a knack for writing "little sayings".  I thought they were so good that they could be on Hallmark cards.  Another thing I remember is that he always had a red Kansas City Chiefs ball cap; I don't know if he had a closet full of them or just had "that one special hat" that he would not give up.

Just know that he was a special man that was loved and will be missed by many. Rest in Paradise brother.


I used to spend the summers living with Uncle Mark, Aunt Belinda, Cameron, Bryan and Ashley.  Mark was always great and treated me like one of his own kids.  Some of my fondest memories were ‘helping’ him at the shoe store. He would let us kids help catalog inventory, but we mainly ended up playing hide and go seek and ride the fun service elevator. He is also the reason I was a Chiefs fan in my younger years, he would teach me who the players were and why they were better than the Broncos, haha.

Mark, thank you for all of the kindness and love you showed me. You will be missed!!

Mark was a great man and wonderful father. When I met Mark disco was popular. He took disco dancing lessons and purchased a baby blue polyester suit. Mark was known to dance in public years later to show off his dancing skills. Even though it embarrassed Ashley, Bryan and Cameron they enjoyed watching their father dance.

I always loved the silly costumes and ties he would wear to work.   He was always the type to want to make others laugh and feel special.   

I always thought it was funny that he would call to ask how the weather was, even though we always knew that he was paying attention to our weather more than we were. 

I will truly miss him greatly, and I will always respect him. He had a hand in raising my two favorite people in the world...RIP

The first memory I have of dad was when I was around 3. Mom said that we were at Sears to get my pictures taken and we passed a stuffed Eeyore that I wanted. Mom said no but dad took me back and bought him for me. I really wish I still had him now.
My favorite memories of dad was when he worked at Kenny’s at the mall in Wichita. He would let me try on the tap and ballet shoes and dance around in the back, dye white wedding shoes that he didn’t need anymore. He even taught me how to work the cash register and let me help ring up some of the customers, all while he was watching me like a hawk. Me and Bryan would take out the garbage some nights when dad was closing and the elevators they had in the back always creeped me out. 

I am heartbroken that we lost such a wonderful man and father, but I know that he is in a much better place. If I know my dad he is looking down on everyone yelling “Go Chiefs!”

I will always remember Dad taking us fishing at Lake Manawa in Council Bluffs. We mostly caught small blue gill, but it was fun. Bryan usually out fished us all with his cane pole.
