

Mark Steven Snyder, 56 of Firestone, passed away suddenly on October 25, 2018 in a car accident in Walden, CO where he was headed to fish with family. Mark was born October 7, 1962 in Florida to Richard and Dorothy (Lott) Snyder. At age 5, he and his family moved to Colorado. Mark attended both Longmont and Lyons High School and graduated in 1982 from Longmont High School. He proudly served in the United States Navy for over four years. In addition to completing his honorable service, Mark graduated from Colorado Aero Tech, and the Construction Industry Training Council of Colorado where he earned his Journeyman Plumbing License. In 1990, he married the love of his life, Laura Phillips in Colorado. Mark was a longtime member of Life Bridge Christian Church in Longmont, CO. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and cooking. He loved feeding squirrels and often kept nuts in his car to give to them. Above all, Mark loved spending time with his family and friends. He had a big heart and knew no strangers. He will truly be missed.He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Laura Snyder, their two daughters, Autumn (Dustin) Jones of Aurora and Shantay (Marcel) Marcos of Greeley, his parents, Dick and Dotty Snyder of Longmont, a grandson, Nolan Marcos, a brother, Rick Snyder, Jr. of Estes Park, sister, Mary (Bob) Munn of Spring, TX and many nieces, nephews and friends.In lieu of a funeral, memorial or celebration of life, a party to honor the Life of the Party,will be held for the family and close friends; to celebrate a life lived to the fullest. It will be held Nov 2 at D-Barn @ 1:30. Dress casually and come hungry. Mark always invited everyone, so everyone is welcome; but know that Mark despised funerals and would not want any business associates or loose connections to feel obligated to attend to be politically correct. He leaves a legacy of an army of support for his friends and family.
